The challenge of putting ideas into action is something that students know quite well. We all sometimes struggle to move an idea beyond the realm of thought in order to create something in the real world.

Students will explore the power of taking ideas and doing something with them. The video that is used for response and the accompanying short text both demonstrate the struggle of pushing ideas forward.

This assessment tool includes both a reading and writing task. Students will read a short text on the topic of “Ideas”, which will set them up to consider how ideas can float around in our thinking until we actually decide to turn them into something. They will respond to a video either through an audio response or a written response. Finally, they have a collection of image/video to use as inspiration for their written production.
